It is one of our all time favorite hiking trails and we were inspired by the rugged section in Washington state. A mountain lake filled region with high passes and dramatic ridgelines. You almost expect a bear to go paddling by on one of the lakes. The scent is airy, mysterious with a sweet undercurrent of vanilla and huckleberry.
